Nothing says "old-fashioned" like a cup of freshly ground coffee. Although you may have moved on from this manner, many people still love a cup of clout coffee. The recipe is simple and delicious, and there are measures you can take to improve the flavor of your roasted coffee bourbon and rye barrel aged whiskey.
- 1 double shot of Clout's Bourbon or Rye Barrel-Aged Coffee, Espresso Roast (about 2oz), room temperature
- 1oz bourbon or rye whiskey of choice
- 1/4oz simple syrup
- Dash of bitters
- Orange peel
- Combine the espresso, bourbon or rye, simple syrup and bitters in a shaker. Fill with ice and shake about 30 seconds.
- Strain into rocks glass filled with ice.
- Twist orange peel over cocktail and around the rim of the glass.
- Garnish with orange peel.
Yield: 1 Cocktail
